Hi...hoping somebody can ID this font. It was used in ye olde days for fax machine "activity" reports. It also features a double dagger - ‡ - which was used to make a box around the "Activity Report" title. However, it was shorter than the usual double dagger, making it almost look like an asterisk. Thanks kindly for an insights!

Hi
Thanks for your thoughts. I think you're close but...there are these strange shortened double-daggers.... Any ideas?

Hi Alex
Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out. It's much appreciated.
After I got the suggestion above from typefighter, I did try to respond with a pic of the double-daggers in question. Only - and I may have this wrong - the forum appears to limit one to a small number of characters, and I couldn't figure out how to extract just a few samples.
And, while the double-dagger is perplexing, I'm assuming it belongs to the same font as the rest of the characters used. My only thought was the double-dagger might offer a clue re the overall font.
Here's one sample ...
(It's the inset white box underneath the header "Communication Management Report (MF8580Cdw / MF8280Cw Only"
The link is:

There's another example at:

(Again, the font I'm trying to suss out is in the inset white box - this time on a grey background - under the header "Communication Management Report".)
And I'm sure that's more than enough, but just in case,,,,

The font is the type used in the white box under "Step 3", with the title "World Estate Inc." Under that is the "Activity Report" header, with the squat double-dagger.
Thanks for offering to have another look. Any thoughts will be gratefully received!
